Contacta HLD series

The Contacta HLD is a series of hearing loop drivers. The HLD2 and HLD3 are meant for use in a one-on-one induction loops, specifically aimed on one user. The HLD5, HLD7 and HLD9 can be used in large area loops, designed for use by multiple hearing aid wearers in one room.

Versatile series

Contacta’s HLD series consists of five different hearing loop drivers.

• HLD2: this is a hearing loop driver for use in one-on-one contact between two persons. This amplifier is used in a counter loop system, together with a microphone and a loop that can be easily installed above or underneath the counter, at will.
• HLD3: this hearing loop driver is used in an induction loop, that transfers sound signal directly from a TV or other audio device to one or more hearing aids.
• HLD5: with this compact hearing loop driver, multiple hearing aids in one room can be supplied with a signal, making it possible for the wearers to hear the music and speech produced in that room. A public-address system can also be connected with this amplifier. The HLD5 can be used in small rooms and can supply 2 hearing loops with a signal.
• HLD7: with this modular hearing loop driver, multiple hearing aids in one room can be supplied with a signal, making it possible for the wearers to hear the music and speech produced in that room. The amplifier can also be connected to other  communication devices. The HLD7 is suitable for medium size rooms.
• HLD9: This Class D hearing loop driver is similar to the HLD7, but it’s suitable for use in large rooms. For extra user friendliness, the HLD9 can be remotely installed, monitored and inspected.

Widely employable

Because of the differences between the hearing loop drivers, the Contacta HLD series is suitable for a variety of applications. For instance, the HLD2 was designed for use above or underneath counters. This hearing loop driver is therefore very suitable for use in, for example, banks, post offices, supermarkets, theatres, information centres and airports. The HLD3 can be used with televisions and other audio devices. This hearing loop driver can be used at home as well as in other small rooms with a television present, like waiting rooms, meeting rooms, class rooms and museums. The HLD5, HLD7 and HLD9 are meant for multiple users in one room. These hearing loop drivers are ideal for use in, among others, schools/universities, theatres, concert halls, places of worship, offices and sports facilities.
