Penton PH is a series of weather-resistant plastic horn loudspeakers. This series of grey lightweight paging projectors is very suitable for high quality sound reinforcement inside or outdoors. The series can even be installed in industrial and maritime applications, because it is not affected by most chemicals.
The high value Penton PH Series is very efficient and economical. The 10, 20 and 30 Watts loudspeakers provide a dependability seldom found in competitively priced models. The housing is manufactured from a strengthened ABS moulded plastic and is protected against the elements by UV inhibitors. The standard finish is grey (RAL7035), alternative colours are, however, available upon request. As a standard, an epoxy-coated stainless steel ‘U’ bracket is delivered with these loudspeakers, in the same colour. Using this bracket, the loudspeakers can be mounted anywhere. Even during unusually high wind velocity, the loudspeaker will stay in place!
Each PH loudspeaker has an internal, sealed-in 70.7-volt transformer. This allows for long wiring without severe line loss. A daisy-chained connection of multiple loudspeakers connected to the same amplifier, can also be realized. The 17 five-conductor wire enters the housing through a gland nut designed to keep moisture out. All PH series horn loudspeakers use lightweight, high-density phenolic-resin membranes and ceramic magnets.
Penton PH is very suitable for in- or outdoor high quality sound reinforcement, with an IP rating of IP56 or IP66, respectively. The loudspeakers are BS5839 part 8 voice alarm compliant, with a clear speech intelligibility. Due to the corrosion-resistant materials that the horn loudspeakers are made of, they are suitable for voice or signal warnings in hostile and hazardous environments. The loudspeakers are even suitable for employment in industrial and marine applications and other environments with salt water, because they are not affected by most chemicals. In short, the PH speakers are ideal for unique applications where high efficiency and clear communication are of the utmost importance. In addition, the series is perfect for use in, among others, the applications below.
