Contacta HLD9 hearing loop driver
The Contacta HLD9 is the most powerful hearing loop driver in the HLD series. With these hearing loop drivers it is possible to supply medium to large hearing loop systems with a signal. This series is ideal for use in theaters, conference rooms, sports arenas and places of worship. The Contacta HLD9 is a class D driver and is equiped with a line input and a microphone input. With a current of 10A rms and a voltage of 36V rms it is possible to use this amplifier in systems of up to 1300 square meters. If more coverage is needed, it is possible to connect the amplifier with another amplifier through the use of a special in/output. To this end, it is possible to active a 90° phase shifting. Also, the HLD9 is equiped with a DSP core.
Control and configuration
The HLD9 is easy to operate and configure. The front contains buttons and an LED indication that shows the status of the inputs and the output. During setup, the LED indicators are used to show the status of the various settings.
The HLD9 has 2 different modes. The adjustment mode is used to adjust the input levels and output level. When using the engineers mode it is possible to adjust the operating mode, activate the high frequency compensation and to active the phantom power. Of course it is possible to lock the buttons on the front so that only authorized personnel can make changes to the system.
Design and engineering
With a hearing loop system, a couple of factors are important to get to a well working system. For example the dimensions of the room where the system is placed, but also the materials used in the floor could potentially have an influence on the magnetic field.
