SolidDrive SD-250 compact amplifier
The SolidDrive SD-250 is part of the SD series. It´s an ultra compact and efficient 2 channel class D amplifier. It measures 30,5 x 99,1 x 101,6 millimetre. Furthermore, the amplifier is made of aluminium and therefore only weighs 0,26 kilo. The SD-250 supplies 50 watts twice, making it possible to power two SD transducers. This amplifer can be used with the SD1, the SD1g and the SD1sm, but it´s also suitable for use with other speakers.
Easy and invisible installation
In some situations, like in a beautifully designed space, it’s a shame to have to place prominent audio equipment. Due to the small size and little weight, the SD-250 can be easily consealed, for example behind a TV or in a ceiling. Thus, perfect for a project where the use of visible sound equipment is unwanted. Especially in combination with the SD series, the entire sound installation is barely noticeable in the decor.
The amplifier is supplied with a power adapter and various cable adapters and en plug connectors. 3 different operation modes can be selected. In stereo each input channel flows directly to its corresponding output channel. In dual mono, the left input feeds both output channels. In bridged mode, in conclusion, the left input feeds the bridged outputs. The input can be adjusted to balanced, unbalanced and high level speaker line.
Versatile application
The SD-250 is ideal in situations where the visibility of equipment is unwanted. This makes the SolidDrive SD-250 perfect for use in digital signage, schools, selling points, museums, hospitals en mobile AV systems. In combinatie with the SD series, this amplifier is also very suitable for application in yachts, home cinema systems and advertising purposes. This combination can furthermore be used in, among others, offices, shops, hospitals, government agencies and restaurants.
Optimal listening experience
The SD-250 supplies the SD series with power. Furthermore, it comes with digital EQ presets for all the SD models. Through notch filters, the equalizer can correct peaks in the frequency response. This way, the ideale balance between high, middle and low tones is obtained, enhancing the listening experience. When using a different amplifier than the SD-250, the passive SD1 Equalizer is needed for tone control.
