Tendzone RUBY T4 audio processor
The Tendzone RUBY T4 is an audio processor and part of the RUBY T series. This audio processor has a very extensive matrix mixer and is equipped with twelve inputs and eight outputs. The RUBY T4 is 1U high and can therefore be installed in a rack, effortlessly.
Strong processing power
This powerful digital audio processor, with a 1.5 GHz quad core CPU, provides perfect audio processing performance and it can be used for diversified audio applications. The independent Adaptive Feedback Cancellation (AFC) for each channel, employing high-speed floating-point digital algorithms, provides feedback suppression for each microphone. This prevents the system from squealing. The RUBY T4 realizes microsecond low latency and it has a hot-spare port for networked audio backup. The four flexible, independent Auto Mixer Group (AMG) functions support automatic mixing and cascading. Each group auto mixer can be configured with different mixing rules and it has threshold type and selectable gain sharing types, with three operation modes: master, slave and individual. It supports automatic video tracking, chairman unit and setting the active microphone amount. All of this, plus the employment of quad core, advanced algorithm and user friendly software, makes the RUBY T4 outstanding in audio processing.
Extensive mixer functions
The 50×46 full-featured matrix mixer with intuitive signal routing table and cross-point controllable level offers control over a breed range of functions. A variety of functions, like PEQ, parameter equalization type, notch, high and low-shelf, can be flexibly applied to variable occasions. Up to 1000 settings and several devices can be preset and managed. The presets can be modularized, so sound will not be interrupt when recalling the preset. Altogether, the RUBY T4 offers outstanding sound quality with 48 kHz sampling rate and zero scene recall latency.
Numerous inputs & outputs
This audio processor is equipped with twelve balanced microphone/line inputs, with 48V phantom power. It also has eight balanced line outputs. Each channel is configured with separate AFC and can located the feedback frequency point and automatically eliminate it completely. Also, for every channel, the minimum and maximum voltage level can be set up. The T4 has a built-in Dante port, supporting 16×16 Dante channels. This makes it possible to send 16 audio channels over a network and receive 16 channels, simultaneously. In addition, it comes with a 2×2 USB 2.0 audio interface, so it can transmit and receive 2×2 channel USB audio, for USB debugging, VOIP conference or monitoring. It is configured with a GPIO port. Also, it has an RS-232 port, so it can be controlled by a central control system. Lastly, there’s an Ethernet port, for easy connection to computers and other Ethernet devices.
Full control
For easy control, the control panels of Tendzone can be connected. There are a lot of other control methods, though. For instance, the audio processor is equipped with a flexible human-computer interface. This can be used to plan and manage events, easily. Stored events can be recalled via the schedule and can then control external equipment through GPIO or RS-232. The status of devices can be recorded in real time by log management software. In addition, the RUBY T4 is equipped with a built-in web server, which makes remote control, monitoring and diagnosis possible. With it, the audio processor can be managed remotely, with a devices running on an iOS or Android operation system. With control software, up to 256 RUBY devices can be managed at the same time. The system can be easily maintained.
Flexibly applicable
Due to the large amount of in- and outputs and flexible control, the RUBY T4 is very suitable to be installed in a large variety of applications. This audio processor can be used in auditoriums, banks, (sports) bars, fire stations, community centres, clubs, lecture halls, concert halls, event centres, houses of prayer, gymnasiums, hotels, cafeteria, offices, performance rooms, restaurants, retail, schools, sports facilities, train stations, conference rooms and shopping centres, for example.
Cascading and other possibilities
Up to four RUBY T4s can be cascaded into one big audio processor, using the digital Tendzone Audio Cascading (TAC) bus. Each RUBY supports 16×16 cascading audio transmission. In the Tendzone RUBY T series, one other audio processor is available, the RUBY T1. This one comes with twelve inputs and eight outputs and a 50×46 matrix mixer. The T1 does not offer support for 16×16 Dante channels or micro second low latency and doesn’t have a hot-spare port. Other than that, both are similar in colour, functions and dimensions.
